Job Objective
Barrett-Jackson is looking for Social Media Manager to assist in creating and marketing the Barrett-Jackson Auction experience. It is an opportunity for the right individual to have an impact through progressive marketing strategies across all digital media by being an active participant in a wide variety of marketing formats and participating in various social media activities. Digital and social media content are indispensable and central components when authentically connecting to our fan base, both locally, nationally & internationally. The successful candidate will have their finger on the pulse of all that is culturally relevant in the automotive industry, to our social audiences and will be dedicated to increasing the connection to our current fans and attracting new fans through engaging content. This position is office-based in Scottsdale, AZ.
What You’ll Do
- Manage Barrett-Jackson’s day-to-day social media presence across all social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Develop and execute a digital marketing plan for each auction, working with the marketing team to create campaigns for Consignment, Gate, & Bidders
- Measure the success of social and digital posts and campaigns by utilizing analytics to map strategies and performance
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
- Research current trending digital technologies and social media trends
- Develop and create content ideas to support partnership pitches and renewals with creative development.
- Collaborate with various departments to create, copy-edit and post content for Barrett-Jackson’s official pages on social Media with a unique voice for each platform.
- Works with Social & Digital Media Director to develop and implement social content calendar
- Monitors and analyzes social analytics to guide strategy and best practices, and implement strategy to grow performance based on KPIs
- Monitor influencer channels for sharable content, and identifies opportunities for user-generated content
- Uses social media to increase brand recognition for the organization, improve value perception
- Stays current with social media landscape, marketing and communication methods and other trends, and adapts approaches as needed to stay attractive and relevant with participants, fans, sponsors, and donors – including a focus on reaching the next generation of the sport
- Meet and execute contractual branded content requirements for partners
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of automotive industry, automobiles and collector vehicles preferred
Who You Are
- Friendly and customer service oriented
- Team player who works in collaboration with other departments
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience editing digital shorts and/or series
- Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts, Communications or related field, or equivalent relative industry experience
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator is a must
- Proficient with various codecs, cameras and shooting techniques preferred
- Advanced knowledge of editing and audio mixing techniques
- Proficient PC skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience managing events, project management and/or trade shows a plus
- Experience developing timelines and managing project calendars
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while juggling multiple tasks.
