Purpose of the Job
As a Multimedia Social Content Creator, you will play a meaningful role in evolving what it takes to successfully engage our client’s audience through video and photo content across their product channels, with a primary focus on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. This role sits on the Social and Content team where you will have a major role in creating original social media content based on user insight and product needs.
The successful candidate will help execute original content for their channels, everything from evergreen content to new product launches. You will work with the Social team to deliver best-in-class social deliverables that amplify the brand’s voice and positioning. You will aim to create entertaining and inspiring content while demonstrating our client’s unique form of helpfulness across their channels. The team works iteratively and innovates through testing and experimentation, using data to inform the content strategy.
Candidates should be capable storytellers and be able to deliver quickturn and high-quality video and photo deliverables that incorporate multiple stakeholder feedback. As new platforms emerge, you’ll work to keep the channels on the cutting edge of creative and visual storytelling. You should have a strong background in visual storytelling on social media, know how the varying social media platforms work, and have a solid track record of producing visual and creative content tailored to each platform.
This is a remote role based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, produce, and create original design, animation, photo and video content for social media accounts, with engagement, franchise development and audience growth as top of mind.
- Engage in video editing, animating and other post-production duties for a variety of video content.
- Edit photo, video and audio assets under tight deadlines for proactive and reactive opportunities.
- Comfortably direct and shoot content using specific devices.
- Develop expert knowledge of the client’s creative assets to use in social content.
- Self manage on production sets and execute against storyboards and social narratives.
- Work closely with content and brand teams to execute content that maintains brand accuracy and align with the go-to-market strategy.
- Collate assets and adhere to licensing agreements to create engaging, exciting and high-quality content.
- Time will likely be spent 40% editing/post-production, 30% producing/development, 20% videography, 10% creative strategy, at least initially.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- A passion for social media content creation with 5+ years of shooting and editing video & photo assets
- A proven ability to create on-trend social media content
- A creative portfolio of proven work
- Tech industry experience
- Experience with design, animation, and video production and editing, especially for social media channels
- Experience executing and managing creative visual content on a best-in-class social media editorial team, working cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with camera codecs and deliverable formats for all platforms
- Some understanding of cross-channel social strategy to develop growth
- Ability to innovate and make recommendations through testing and learning
- Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to take direction and be a positive, collaborative force on the team while navigating a highly collaborative working environment
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate in a fast paced, deadline driven, rapidly changing work environment.
