The Purpose:
As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing our organic social media strategy to enhance our brand presence and engagement across various platforms and target demographics. You will engage with cross-functional members across Marketing, Business & Product to create compelling content, analyze performance metrics, and drive innovative campaigns that align with our company goals and values.
What You’ll Do:
- Report to VP, Product Marketing and partner with the Product team, Growth Marketing team and broader Business team.
- Build a clear strategy and roadmap for our social media accounts for 2024-2025, leveraging data, historical trends and industry best practices.
- Manage and oversee all social media accounts, including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and report weekly on our social media channel performance and broader trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
- Keep our social media community engaged by monitoring comments, moderating conversations and managing followers.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role for a consumer brand, preferably in the consumer-facing digital platform industry.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, key success metrics, industry trends, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Analytical rigor, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
- Passion for the mission of Slickdeals (to bring the joy of discovering a great deal to shoppers) and the e-commerce industry.
- Experience in a creative capacity e.g., content, design, is a plus.
- Experience in managing and executing advertising campaigns is a plus.
LOCATION: San Mateo, CA
Hybrid schedule visiting our San Mateo, CA office three days a week (Tues-Thurs).
