The vision of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) is “A better world through better water”. AWWA is seeking a talented Video Producer to help us promote and foster that vision.

The job includes creating multiple types of video content, such as creative projects, commercials to market a product or event, and corporate instructional and informational videos. This job works closely with a variety of internal staff. The Video Producer will ideate, create, and edit videos and/or animation that clearly communicate AWWA’s brand, products, etc.

Starting salary is $77,000-$78,500 dependent on experience.

AWWA follows a hybrid schedule with three days in the Denver office and two days remote work. This is NOT a fully remote job opportunity.

15-20% travel may be required.

Primary Position Objective

Create multiple types of video content, including creative projects, commercials to market a product and corporate instructional and informational videos. Collaborate primarily with internal clients to determine video purpose, then develop a plan to accomplish those goals through film, animation and editing. Create a timeline for completing each part of a project and use that timeline to plan an overall production schedule.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement a video strategy that aligns with business objectives and brand
  • Oversee and produce video and sound projects including concept development, video shooting and editing
  • Research, interview and collaborate with subject matter experts and marketing/communications staff to create engaging videos
  • Work closely with executives on video messages
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
  • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training
  • Know, understand, and follow employee guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures

Requirements

Job Qualifications

Education, Certification Or Formal Training

  • Proficient in video production, camera work
  • E xpert in audio/video editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop) cameras (video and photography), audio and lighting equipment

Work Experience (including Computer Skills)

  • Minimum five (5) years v ideo production experience for digital media agency, production house, or in-house creative, including working with internal and external resources, organizing shoots, and post-production
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • Exceptional time management and ability to work under tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Advanced motion graphics abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative and team-focused with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Support and model AWWA mission and vision in all interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including acute ability to listen attentively and to communicate effectively at all levels of organization and/or with external customers, clients, member, and volunteers.
  • Self-directed; able to work independently and as a member of a team and to foster a positive work environment
  • Demonstrated strengths in organization, attention to detail, follow-through, analysis, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Targeted pay range is $77,000-$78,500/year or commensurate with experience and is paired with a comprehensive benefits package `that includes:
