About You And This Role
The Office of the CEO and Executive Communications has an exciting opportunity to help articulate and amplify Dow’s reputation and the voice of our primary spokesperson through social media engagement. CEOs who are active on social media and have a robust strategy to support channel activity enhance their company’s brand and reputation, increase credibility and rapport with employees, customers, investors, media and partner companies, and help attract talent.
As the Executive Social Media Manager, your responsibility is oversight, execution and measurement of Dow’s CEO social media strategy. You develop timely and steady social content plans including original and curated content from external sources and through close partnership with Dow’s Content Advisory Board, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketers, Sustainability, Public Policy, geographic and other Dow teams. You work closely with our external partners to help us ensure maximum ROI on CEO engagements. You help define the digital voice of our top executive to help Dow realize our Ambition and achieve key corporate goals.
Responsibilities
Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible to execute in this role.
- Define and drive CEO social media strategy including social channel prioritization, audience analysis, message development, measurement and alignment with Dow’s brand, Ambition and other external engagement goals.
- Partner with Dow’s Content Advisory Board, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketers, Sustainability, Public Policy, geographic and other Dow teams, along with agency support as appropriate, to curate and produce weekly content recommendations for consideration including frequent LinkedIn editorials for posting. This includes researching third-party content that aligns with the strategy.
- Craft strategic Seek Together blog content and associated promotional strategies to highlight and amplify key stories significant to Dow’s strategy.
- Provide real-time social engagement recommendations as appropriate to capitalize on discussions and trends that are strategic to Dow.
- Develop a tiered strategy for following and engaging with strategic influencers including media, customers, key policy leaders, NGOs and other influential leaders.
- Ensure a robust social monitoring and listening program is in place for CEO channels.
- Benchmark and monitor other industry leaders, competitors and thought-leaders in social media to apply best practices and improve the overall social-media strategy.
- Analyze data to determine effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations on necessary adjustments to drive greater impact. Compile weekly/monthly reports that include metrics on engagement, community growth, and other identified key metrics.
- Manage and maintain other online presence activity including Wikipedia maintenance, search engine optimization (SEO), and other activities as necessary.
- Benchmark and monitor other industry leaders, competitors and thought-leaders in social media to apply best practices and improve the overall social media strategy.
Qualifications
- Exceptional storytelling abilities through social media.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams and successfully managing multiple stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of and comfort with key social platforms and their management/measurement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to keep a pulse on real-time trends to inform ongoing social media strategy and content across platforms, as well as keep up to date with platform changes and new channels.
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree with focus in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant (PO2/Sgt) Military ranking required.
- At least 3-5+ years of digital/social communications experience required.
- A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States or Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of permanent residency (green card) process.

- The selected candidate can be located at any Dow site in North America (United States or Canada).
- Some travel may be required based on business need.
