Overview:
Join our team as a Videographer at URS Construction, where you will capture dynamic footage of our daily construction operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to create impactful visual content in a bustling environment, contributing to both immediate project needs and a broader vision for a future digital media and creative agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Filming: Execute “run and gun” videography, closely following our construction teams to document their day-to-day activities in a near-documentary style.
- Creative Direction: Independently develop shot lists and action plans, adapting to the needs of the site and project spontaneity.
- Video Editing: Handle the basic editing of captured footage, or prepare it for handoff to our internal team, ensuring the content aligns with our promotional and social media strategies.
- Equipment Management: Utilize either company-provided equipment, including Sony AC7, Canon 70D, and various gimbals, or your personal gear if preferred.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility required to meet project demands, which may vary daily between active shooting and editing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in videography, particularly in dynamic, uncontrolled settings.
- Proficiency with video editing software and creating short-form content for various digital platforms.
- Ability to work comfortably in dusty and rugged construction environments; protective equipment provided as needed.
- Effective self-management and organizational skills for developing creative content plans.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant work (no resume or minimum years of experience required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Spanish language skills are advantageous for better coordination with our predominantly Spanish-speaking team.
- Ability to travel to various construction sites; transportation support available within a 7-mile radius of our office if needed.
Compensation:
- $20 per hour.
- Potential for creative compensation packages, including revenue sharing and opportunities related to our future media and creative agency vision including but not limited to sales commissions, ad revenue sharing, equity etc.
